The charming Artola Golf Hotel was previously a coach inn used as a stop by turn of the century merchants with horse-drawn carraiges on their way to the lands of Cadiz, Algeciras and Gibraltar. The building was converted into a hotel in 1954 and, although it has been refurbished on various occasions, it still maintains its' original Andalusian design with typically whitewashed walls with a stucco wood facade under a terra-cota tiled roof. The hotel is set within beautiful gardens and features a quaint Andalusian porch which leads into an interior patio.
